Runbo Terms of Use

Welcome to Runbo. By installing or using the Runbo iOS app (“Runbo”, “the app”, “we”), you agree to the following Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Runbo. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are using Runbo on behalf of someone else, you represent that you have their permission to do so.

2. Health & Safety Disclaimer

  • Runbo provides training guidance derived from HealthKit data and workout history. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.
  • Consult a physician before starting any new exercise program, especially if you have health conditions or concerns.
  • You are solely responsible for assessing your fitness level, training load, and physical condition.

3. HealthKit & Device Requirements

  • Runbo relies on Apple HealthKit for data. You control which data types Runbo can access.
  • A compatible iPhone (iOS 17 or later) is required. Certain features (e.g., exporting structured workouts) require a paired Apple Watch running watchOS 10 or later.
  • Runbo does not function without the appropriate system permissions or HealthKit access.

4. Safety While Exercising

  • Do not interact with Runbo while running or performing workouts that require attention. Configure workouts and review recommendations before you begin.
  • Follow all local laws—especially those related to traffic safety and headphone use—while training outdoors.

5. Responsible Use of Recommendations

  • Runbo’s load analysis and workout suggestions are generated algorithmically using your recent training history, vitals, and preferences. They may not be appropriate for every user or situation.
  • Always listen to your body and adjust or skip workouts when necessary. Overtraining can lead to injury.

6. Data Usage & Privacy

  • Runbo processes your data locally on your device. No account or external server is used.
  • Health data originates from HealthKit and is subject to Apple’s terms. By enabling HealthKit access, you consent to Runbo reading the selected data types to provide its features.

7. Intellectual Property

  • Runbo, including its user interface, graphics, source code, and content, is owned by the Runbo team. Unauthorized copying, modification, or distribution of the app is prohibited.
  • You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works based on Runbo except to the extent allowed by applicable law.

8. Updates & Changes

  • We reserve the right to update Runbo, change features, or discontinue the app at any time without notice.
  • We may also update these Terms of Use. Continued use after any modifications signifies acceptance of the revised terms.

9. Warranty Disclaimer

  • RUNBO IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
  • We do not guarantee: (a) the accuracy of training load estimates, workout suggestions, or vitals summaries; (b) uninterrupted or error-free operation; or (c) that Runbo will meet your personal training goals.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Runbo and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the app, including personal injury, property damage, or lost profits.
  • Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with Runbo is to stop using the app.

11. Indemnification

  • You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Runbo and its contributors from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your misuse of the app or violation of these terms.

12. Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate your access to Runbo at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms of Use. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately.

13. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Runbo is developed (United Kingdom), without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located within that jurisdiction.
